i am getting blood spots under the skin on only my left arm. they appear suddenly and fade away in about 10 days. what causes them?

Doctor can evaluate: Blood spots on the skin are called petechiae (purpura if they are bigger splotches), and are due to blood cells leaking out of the tiny blood vessels in the skin. After the blood cells have leaked out, the area behaves just like a bruise (the body breaks down the blood cells into different colored pigments, and carries them away over a week). The Dr. wants to find out why blood cells were leaking.

Hematuria: he has what is called hematuria which mean blood in the urine
most hematuria caused by kidney stone but most of the stone will have pain with it 
the other possibility is infection bladder is first then could be in the male prostate both can cause hematuria
either way he needs to have his urine tested and he might end up have to have like renal cat scan to make sure it  is not  from his kidney

Red spots: Check your complete blood count asap since you are describing a condition which causes low platelets or someother blood disorders needs to be checked by blood tests not by physical examination.

Veins/blood: If they're long thin blue lines or streaks, you're seeing veins and that's normal. If you're seeing splotches or large, wide areas of blue discoloration, that's bleeding under the skin and called "purpura."  unless you've had trauma to explain it, that's abnormal and should be checked out immediately. A blood count, including platelets, will help to clarify the issue.

A doctor can start treatment, or he can do additional testing if the diagnosis is uncertain. Face rashes include acne, allergic reactions, rosacea, seborrhea, etc.. Sometimes, internal disease can cause a face rash.
