Not necessarily: The bleeding can be caused from a number of different things, sometimes a bleeding disorder--however that is rare.  Your doctor would need to examine you to see what is causing the bleeding and exactly where it is originating.

Rheumatologist  also help in these situations.

If you or close one smokes, get it stopped.

Blood CLOTS: with the use of ANY anticoagulant.....it just takes longer and is less likely to occur spontaneously!! As far as I know, all the presently used anticoagulants are available in South Africa!

Blood clot: If you are referring to blood test/ work-up, the results should be back within 2 weeks, in general. There are many factors that can  make people to have blood clot- such as - post surgery,  obesity, being on sterids or other medication- hormone/ ocp, testosterone, chemotherapy,  cancer,  hereditary problem/genetic mutation, etc, ).  Wait for the result and discuss in detail with your  hematologist.
