2 ways: imaging - either chest xray or CT scan
Bronchoscopy for direct visualization

Also, you could add exam.  If a patient came in with stridor, that would be an indication of a potential foreign body in an airway.  Pt may also be hypoxic depending on how large the object was and where it is.

Mostly none: In general, lung nodules benign and malignant are asymptomatic (without symptoms). That said, benign is more likely associated with infection. Thus symptoms such as infection and pneumonia may be present; fever, cough, etc.... Other symptomatic nodules may be from sarcoidosis. There is a large list of symptoms with sarcoid.

Sinusitis: sinusitis does not necessarily  cause nasal "blockage", sinusitis can cause nasal discharge, cough due to post nasal drip, headache, pressure over nasal bridge

Time to see a doctor: Chest pressure or chest pain are signs meaning go to the ER.  Chest pain symptoms can be a heart attack. One should not drive herself (it's safer to go by ambulance). If she turns out not to have pericarditis, myocarditis, or heart attack issues, the ER will also have evaluated for chest problems such as a collapsed lung or a pneumonia. Chest x-ray, EKG, and labs can be done at the ER.

Go see her doctor: Need evaluation to determine diagnosis (cause) before can suggest solution. For instance, allergies are treated differently from infections. I have no idea what medication she took w/o relief so she needs to tell prescribing doctor what (didn't) happen.

Get it checked out: At 27, coronary blockage is low on the list of possible causes, but the pain with breathing suggests other possibilities, including pericarditis (inflammation of the covering of the heart) or even muscular or skeletal type pain.  Get your symptoms checked out with a qualified practitioner.

Chest tightness: Chest tightness that occurs at rest but not with exertion is frequently associated with chronic anxiety or stress. If this fits your pattern, stress management may be quite helpful since heart and lung problems have apparently been ruled out. Discuss this with your physician.

Symptomstic: if you are indeed having angina and the documented blockage is severe enough to cause it the intervention is appropriate and proven better than medical therapy. Also need to consider your heart pumping ability and your lifestyle but if you want to be active it should be fixed
