See doctor: The two may not be related.  I think nosebleeds this time of year are caused by irritation of the nose from allergy.  Sinus infection could cause both symptoms.  If not releived by acetominophen and pinching your nose, i'd go see an ent, where a good nasal exam can be done.

is it a bad idea to tilt my head backwards to stop nose bleeding ?

Yes: The best thing to do with a nose bleed is to sit up, lean your head forward with your chin on your chest and grab your nose and your face tightly and squeeze for 15 minutes. That should stop most bleeds.

Not related: In my opinion these symptoms are not related or coincidental. The neck pain is most likely from strained muscles, bulging disk or pinched nerve. The epistaxis is from blowing your nose too much. In any case  these are hypothetical diagnoses, and only if you are checked up by a doctor can you get a reliable diagnosis and prevent future complications.

Yes: assuming the animal is up to date on vaccinations, your son may need a tetanus booster, depending on his age.

Mouth bleeding OK!: Mouth bleeding from hitting head on the table should subside. If the child is acting normal, he should be fine. If he acts sick, please take him to his doctor.

Head injury: Monitor for signs of concussion: Sleepiness, confusion, abnormal speech, unsteady walking. If they start vomiting then seek emergent help.

Sounds broken: Sounds like you broke your nose.  I would definitely be seen to make you don't need intervention.

Go to ER: Don't take chances with your eyes( or his)! take him to to emergency room to get evaluated now. He could have fractured his orbit, the part of the skull that contains the eye.
