Not long: It should not last more than several days typically.  Sometimes, your ovarian cycle is interrupted by surgery and your next period may come sooner or delayed.

Bleeding: If you had surgery for endometriosis, that could cause your bleeding postoperatively.  If you got   any medications to reduce future endometriosis growth, this may cause continued bleeding as well.  If you did get lupron, (leuprolide) the bleeding should diminish after 2-3 weeks and you may not have a period for 2 - 3 months. You should follow up with your doctor to discuss these symptoms.

Minimum: Laparoscopic ovarian surgery is very safe, will not have the scar ofopensurgery, quick recovery and minimu pain , with early return to work, like any procedure few may develop minimum complications, of which you have to talk to your surgeon.

May not ever return: Ovarian cysts generally develop during each menstrual cycle, in young women. Frequently one cyst per cycle becomes dominant and may enlarge to the point of discomfort prior to ovulation. There are many other causes of pelvic pain (scar tissue, endometriosis, infection).  There is a good chance that your cysts may play only a small role in your pain.  Cyst removal/ surgery may not always be needed.

No: Very serious complications are possible with either procedure, but fortunately are not common. Experience counts, and if your surgeon is more experienced and more comfortable with one procedure or the other, that will be your best option.

No change: Short term there could be mild weight loss from missing a few meals, but there should not be a long term change in weight from this.

Mild p/o pain: Slight post op pain due to cyst fluid irritation but most of this will be aspirated by the laparoscopist at the time of the procedure.

Yes safe: Laparoscopy is a very safe procedure , will go home on the same day after the procedure , relatively painless, no incision scar,  done even in children if indicated , speak to your doctor.
