Yes, in a small: minority of cases, stones can form in the common duct, which connects the liver to duodenum.  If you are having symptoms, you should see a doctor for full exam and tests.  It could still be some other problem too.

Diet is key: Well, let's begin with you did not get rid of gallstones. Meals that have a high fat content will cause the gallbladder to contract, sometimes rather forcefully. That causes pain, especially if gall stone stuck in neck.  Low fat diet may potentially reduce some of the pain.  With continued pain you should see your Doctor.it may mean you have to have the gallbladder out sooner.

Laparoscopic: Usually an outpatient laparoscopic surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder through 1-4 small incisions, usually less than an hour surgery, usually not too much pain after surgery, eat light foods the first few days after surgery.

Not exactly: People can have gallstones without any symptoms.  However once you develop symptoms relating to gallstones such as pain right upper abdomen, pain with eating , etc.  Then it may be time to evaluate for gallbladder surgery.  See your surgeon.          Some patient express that they feel like there is a knot or golf ball size pressure constantly present on that size.

Avoid fatty food/sx: Avoid fatty fried foods but contact surgeon for possible excision to prevent emergency excision later.
