Not recommended: Most birthmarks are either very vascular, or deeply pigmented (although some are very pale).  Attempts to alter the appearance of these types of skin lesions will likely be ineffective at best, or leave an undesirable appearance/scar.  A dermatologist would be the appropriate person to consult for this.

Not likely: Birthmarks are usually caused by increased or decreased pigmentation, or by increased blood vessel formation.  It is highly unlikely that topical creams will be potent enough to completely remove a birthmark.  Laser therapy is available for this purpose, and may be effective for certain types of beauty/birth marks, if removal is desired.

Unlikely to happen: White birthmarks generally reflect an absence or decreased production of pigment in the patch of skin involved.This cannot be reversed. In theory you could transplant a full thickness graft of your skin to cover the area, but it would never look "normal" and would have some visible demarcation at the edges that would call attention to the patch.Most would use a cover makeup for prominent areas.

Hard to say : The incidence of autism has increased significantly and is under 1/100.  If your child  has some type of identifiable genetic abnormality it may provide you with some additional information.  Environmental influence on genetic susceptibilities plays a large role in this epidemic. Look for a provider for yourself and your future child who can help  you assess risk and limit exposures.

Depends on the mark: I can remove the birth mark but will leave a scar from the surgery.  Depending on the age of you child and the type of birth mark, most will fade with age.  If the birth mark is a hemangioma, it will enlarge until about 1 year old, then begin to regress.  However, Propranolol is being used with some success for this to decrease the size and severity of the hemagioma.

Facial hemangiona: It is very expensive to remove. I recommend  to leave it alone &amp; think of it as a beauty mark. Just check with your Dr to make sure that this vascular flat hemangiona is not a a part of port wine stain ( Surge Webber syndrome)  which can involve the brain. Good luck
