Yes, It's Possible: Yes, it is possible. There are several different forms of dark-pigmented spots which can occur on the tongue or other areas of the mouth. If you have had the spot since birth, and it hasn't changed, you have a very high chance that it's something harmless. But, it should be checked anyway. If the spot developed recently,  or changed, you must have it checked right away; that can be very dangerous.
