Yes.: No interaction between the two. But why are you taking coumadin (warfarin)? Blood clots? Birth control pills can cause blood clots, so maybe you should try some other form of birth control if that is the case. If you already had a clot, taking the two together is not a problem.

i am on warfarin for blood clots in my leg. diagnosed 3 weeks ago. i am also on benicar.
my bp is 140/90, is this a problem? i had a pe in january of 2010, was put on warfarin for 6 months.  they believe it was the birth control pills and immediately stop

A : A normal blood pressure for an adult is 120/60. It will be important for you to check your blood pressure daily to ensure it does not get too high. The presence of blood clots in your body put you at high risk for heart attack, stroke and pe. 
Ask your doctor to give you parameters for when to call, for example he/she can ask that you call the doctor if your systolic (top) blood pressure  is over 150.
The increase in your blood pressure is worth a call to the doctor, and once again, ask your doctor to give you some parameters for when to be concerned about your blood pressure.

Consistency: If you've gotten up in the morning, been up all day, gone to bed and gotten up the next day w/out taking a pill then you've missed a pill.  Being consistent is the key. Always taking your pill in the morning, afternoon or evening will work best.

Very safe: For almost all women, the pill is very safe. The major risk is with such cardiovascular issues as hypertension or a leg/lung clot. Common problem: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

It : It is not safe or recommended to use regular birth control pills for emergency contraception. You can go to your pharmacy and ask for emergency contraception or "plan b". This is also known as the 'morning after pill." this regimen is typically 1 or 2 pills (taken 12 hours apart).
Also, it is important to note that, in order for emergency contraception to be effective, it has to be within 72 hours of unprotected sex. You do not need a prescription  for emergency contraception. Some pharmacies require that you are atleast 18 years old.
The side effects of taking this are nausea, vomiting, pelvic cramping, fatigue and can entail mood swings.

No: I is not dangerous - however, lo sprintec is not a good option for this - go to your pharmacy and the emergency contraceptions are now over the counter - so do that
