Depends...: If it is long distance....you don't need anything. Sex is normal and natural. If you want to have sex and avoid pregnancy.......nothing is 100%. Condum, Birth control pills, Intrauterine devise, Hormone injection, oral sex are your options.

Unprotected sex: if you were not using condoms then you may become pregnant. To reduce the likelihood of pregnancy you may take plan B within 72 hours of unprotected sex. You may want to follow up with a clinical exam and std screening.

i would like to go off the pill (jasmin plus) which i started taking at 15ish for my skin. i am in a committed relationship and still need birth control, but i do not take the pill as directed. is the implant a viable alternative?

BCP's vs. implant ?: Contraceptive "implants" are progestin derivatives, and while statistically near oral contraceptives in pregnancy protection, your menses may be very irregular, causing some anxiety if your desire to avoid pregnancy is strong.  Oral bcps, although more "treatment intensive" are more certain and if taken punctually will not result in breakthrough bleeding, and worth the trouble.

can hormones from your birth control make your sex drive stop? i have the mirena (levonorgestrel) and every since i have had it, i just am anti-sex and it is ruining my relationship.

Hormones : Hormones can cause change in sex drive.  It would be reasonable to see your physician and ask for recommendations regarding this issue.  Also discuss any other medications or supplements you may be on.  Other issues can cause change in sex drive as well.

i have pcos and i have bleeding every day for 6 months now. dr says its normal. doubt it. anyway im fed up now. im depressed with it. my relationship is suffering. is there a way to stop the bleeding without birth control or medication?

: You have PCOS with menorrhagia so you should be treated. Most of the time, you will need to be treated with medication but rarely, one time D&amp;C can stop the bleeding. You should be evaluated by a GYN, not your family doctor. In the mean time, you should take iron supplement and/or taking foods with high iron contents such as green vegetables, meat products, etc.

Unprotected sex: Depotprovera protects from getting pregnant, but not from catching a sexually transmitted infection. Using condoms while on Depotprovera protects from sexually transmitted infections. If there is no STD risk, a condom is not needed.

Maybe: Are you asking about birth control pills? Or other methods? It depends on the method, but if you've just started on birth control pills, it's not unusual to have irregular unpredictable bleeding in the first 1-3 months, even if you take your pills perfectly.  If you miss pills, irregular bleeding is more common.
