Which birth control: If birth control pills, are you taking same time every day? New moms may find that difficult. If other methods: the shot, patch, iud may have other causes.  As it's persisted x 3 months, best to see or call your doctor.  He/she can't know you're having problems unless you speak up.

Can be normal: Brown discharge is old blood, nothing to worry about.  The fact that you had brown blood instead of a period can be normal for a woman on birth control.  Sometimes when women don't bleed it's because there's nothing (uterine lining) to bleed from, nothing to shed.  Are you on a low dose?  Estrogen causes lining to build up, Progesterone to slough off.

No: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A home urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result by 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a regular withdrawal period.
