: "Diarrhea" occurring "40 minutes" after taking your active oral bcp will not diminish the effect of oral birth control.  Think of the week at the end of the "active pills" where no hormones are taken for seven days, and pregnancy is protected over 95% of the time, so even if the diarrhea reduced the effect of the pill mentioned, pregnancy is very unlikely.
