What type of bc?pil?: With ocps: maybe mild nausea, bloating, breast tenderness, spotting, occ. Mood-iness - usu. These resolve after a month or so.  With Depo-Provera provera: sometimes irreg bleeding,  pos. Weight gain, mood effects pos, cessation of menses common after some time on depo.  With iuds: mirena: lighter to no periods, minimal other se, paragard: heavier menses, crampier menses. Nexplanon: headaches pos, irreg bl.

Depends on the BC: If you have a hormonal IUD, implant or take the pill properly you don't. If you have a copper IUD, use condoms or miss enough doses of the pill you likely do.
