Seek medical check u: You need to tell us about your complete blood report like your Hemoglobin, Platelets and differential count(What type of white cells make up your WBC count of 14,000(% of different cells )). The hip joint changes you report are unlikely to be caused by Myeloma. A good internist can help you to sort out the cause of your high WBC count. So go see one soon.

There : There are many causes of avascular necrosis of the hips.  It is generally considered safe to inject in the joint as there it has less systemic effects.  Steroids can cause avn however it is usually attributed to long term use of steroids by mouth.  Other causes of avn include chronic alcohol use, blood disorders, and about a 1/3 that have no known risk factors.
