i am using 0.1% betamethasone for 4 months, i just know that i am pregnant in the first month, does the drug have any adverse effect on the fetus?

Probably OK: It's hard to prove any medicine is 100% safe in pregnancy. If it's not essential you could stop it for 1st trimester. However, little of the topical steroid will reach the fetus and many women have used it, not realizing they were pregnant.  There does not seem to be any pattern of adverse effects on the fetus.

Don't worry : The topical steroid cream that you are using is a "catabolic" steroid, legal and not part of a job application drug screen. The drug screen would look for "anabolic" steroids which are what body builders use to get very large muscles. The drug screen will not come back positive for steroid use if you are using "catabolic" steroids.

i was ttc and i used lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) cream groin area  3days before ttc. if pregnant will it hurt baby since its a category c drug? how long is it in body?

Benzyl Benzoate is used in many remedies including  scabies but the  bumps on the feet could be a number of possible health conditions including contact allergies. Best o see PCP/ Dermatologist for Face to Face and Physical evaluation &amp;treatment.

See below: Very little.  The drug is used in medicine to assist in lowering serum ammonia levels by activation of a nonurea cycle pathway; ammonia in the presence of benzoate will conjugate with glycine to form hippurate which is secreted by the kidney.  As a preservative, there is little worry unless the individual is also on probenecid which can inhibit benzoate renal excretion.

I don&#x27;t believe it: Internet scare sites peddling &quot;natural food&quot; are allowed by law to make claims that any scientist will recognize as misleading. There&#x27;s no shortage of benzoic acid in many fruits (famously cranberries) and it&#x27;s chemically interchangeable with sodium benzoate varying only with ph. This alone should tell you that the danger is hyped -- if they believed their stuff, they&#x27;d attack cranberries.

: True scabies infection is treated with prescription strength Selenium Sulfide cream among other meds. None of the products you mention are likely to help.

Better choices: This is great for scabies, but you may be confusing it with benzoyl peroxide, your best over-the-counter option for acne. It's not fun, but it's a good start.
