See dermatologist: The betamethasone cream only reduces the inflammation and does nothing on the cause for your rash. Thus the rash will return within days after you stop using the cream. You need to consult a dermatologist to try to find out the cause.

Perhaps you : Have an entrapped nerve? Sometimes itching can be close to numbness or tingling.....Is their a rash? Any skin discoloration? Peeling skin?

Probably OK: It's hard to prove any medicine is 100% safe in pregnancy. If it's not essential you could stop it for 1st trimester. However, little of the topical steroid will reach the fetus and many women have used it, not realizing they were pregnant.  There does not seem to be any pattern of adverse effects on the fetus.

Don't worry : The topical steroid cream that you are using is a "catabolic" steroid, legal and not part of a job application drug screen. The drug screen would look for "anabolic" steroids which are what body builders use to get very large muscles. The drug screen will not come back positive for steroid use if you are using "catabolic" steroids.

No: Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) will not cause any problems.

Not advised...: ...Because it won't do anything, and could possibly make the situation worse. Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus, and Betamethasone not only has no activity against viruses, but may decrease your body's own immune response to the virus, which could worsen the condition.

if i have been thinned out is it permanent?

Betamethasone: Betamethasone is a steroid (cortisone)cream used for inflammatory skin conditions (rashes).  It should not be used for very long due to risks of atrophy of the skin.
