Depends: It depends on what you are looking for.  In the us the birth control pill is very common and patients have quick return to fertility once they stop it.  However, strict compliance is key to the pill being effective.  If you're looking for long acting, reversible forms then an iud is an excellent choice as is implanon.  There is also a Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot that lasts 3 months.

Different for each p: The best bc option is the one that fits an individuals needs while causing fewest side effects. If you want to know which are most effective at preventing pregnancy:  iud's, Nexplanon or Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone)., but you need to talk to your dr about all side effects and risks with each of those methods. The best one for you is the one that you feel most comfortable with, tolerate the best,  and will use consistently. If you freq. Forget the pill or are delayed in taking it, consider the NuvaRing ( change one x per month) or an iud or Implanon - lasts for several years.

Talk to your doctor about which oral contraceptives would work best for you.

Depends: If you never want to get pregnant again, the best thing is for you and your partner to both have your tubes tied (tubal ligation for her, vasectomy for him); if you want to consider getting pregnant, but not for several years, a Progesterone iud like mirena, (levonorgestrel) is a good choice. If you want to try for a pregnancy sooner, and can remember to take a pill every day, the pill; if forgetful, Depo-Provera provera.

One you will use!: There are many contraceptives available.  Used appropriately & as indicated & directed, one should feel safe from pregnancy.  For a teen, Implanon is a no-brainer.  One insertion and good to go for a couple of years.  No remembering!  in right situation, IUD may be considered.  Again no remembering.  Monthly nuva ring, same idea.  Daily pill--you gotta remember!  can fail due to absorption & meds.

Depends!: Do you want reversible or irreversible? 3 non-hormonal methods come to mind besides making your partner do something eg wear condom or get vasectomy. Diaphragm is reversible immediately.
