See his doctor: Cough can be due to several causes, reactive airway disease is just one, sinusitis, ear infection or any upper respiratory tract infection can still cause it. How did you give him the albuterol and the budesonide? I trust at his age you used a nebulizer, but make sure you've mixed the right dosage and the mask was fitting to his face so the medicine isn't wasted, see his doctor for better assessment

need alternative to zirtec for allergy-induced asthma. allegra and benadryl (diphenhydramine) don't work, nor albuterol asthma inhalars. claritin gives me nasal pain.

Allergic help: You will definitely need to speak with your physician about this.  Other alternatives include the short acting chlorphenamine (chlortrimetron), sold over the counter.  There are prescription medications - xyzal, singulair, xopenex, (levalbuterol) Flonase and more.  Ultimately - make sure you speak with your physician about this, since the medications you have tried so far are not providing relief for you.

Trigger ???: This is likely an interplay between your asthma, which is a constant but hopefully controlled,an an external trigger. Some exposure or infectious process is likely the "trigger".Sorting that out may require you keep track of when, what, where all this started and what additional symptoms you have had  during the process.Take the list to you doc and see if additional treatment/s are needed.

Rash, cough & wheeze: Although possible, it's rare to get a rash from albuterol. Have your physician diagnose it; i believe it's not related to the inhaler. Taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can worsen the cough and wheezing as well. So i advise you to resume the inhaler immediately in addition to starting a steroid inhaler 2x a day to prevent worsening of your condition.

Yes: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Ventolin are usually prescribed to be used as needed and fluticasone works best if used daily.  They can be used as prescribed at the same time without adverse effects.
