Gas: Generally caused by swallowing air. Review all your eating and drinking. If you are sucking on candy, chewing gum, drinking frequently, etc., you are also swallowing air and it's going to come out the other end. By cutting down on the air swallowed you cut down on the gas volume. Simethicone is a drug which breaks up gas bubbles and can help symptoms

It happens: You acquire gas in your stomach that is swallowed during feeds. Gas created by bacterial action during digestion is often collected in the transverse colon that peaks (when standing) in the left upper abdomen. You can sometimes vent the gas if you lay down with your pelvis higher than your head (fart it out). A diet change or probiotics can reduce any routine gas.

Doctor can recheck: Gastric reflux, stomach flu, or food poisoning types of illnesses can have some nausea, bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach burning, abdominal pain, tummy cramps, fever, chills, loss of appetite, etc...  One person can have some or all of these symptoms. If symptoms are mild, they might go away in a day or two. Sometimes they can be severe or last a whole week. A doctor's reevaluation can help.

Hiatal hernia?: You should talk to your dr or a gastroenterologist, as you likely have a hiatal hernia--when portion of stomach slips above diaphragm and food can get stuck there for minutes to hours--usually associated with pain, and risk for tissue injury. Medications can help, surgery occasionally needed, depending on severity of symptoms.
