can bacterial vaginosis cause swollen lymph nodes in the neck?

No: Lymph nodes are regional in their activity.I would look to bug bites or skin irritation on the head,neck and shoulders as the common source.Occasionally , throat issues can be reflected in neck nodes. For BV, I would expect some peanut sized or larger nodes  in the folds of your groin.

Perhaps: It could be bacterial vaginosis. The swelling could be from a different reason, it can be an infected cyst as well. You will need a medical doctor evaluation to help. Good luck!

i am having laser tattoo removal on the back of my neck. i had my first session two weeks ago , its healing very well however i noticed a round hard painful lump at the base of my skull back of neck. swollen lymph node??

: You are likely correct. Any disturbance of the skin surface as would be in tattoo removal may trigger enlargement of local nodes that can persist for a few weeks.

i have had one swollen lymph node on lower left side of neck. it is not very large - the size of a small pea. noticed it after having covid in december (its april). it has decreased in size since first noticing. not painful. should i be concerned?

: Lymph nodes are located throughout the body &amp; generally noticeable in exposed areas like the neck. They are usually PEA sized at rest and enlarged when stimulated by bug bites, dermatitis, drainage or infection. They rarely can become damaged by infection &amp; grow to golf ball size &amp; need drainage or removal. The node as described is normal.

i have a lump in my groin area what could this mean. its small but its still noticeable. im thinking its a swollen lymph node. if so its the only one ive check the others. what should i do?

: One small lump in the groin probably means nothing, especially if it remains small and is not sore to the touch. Do not keep pressing on it -- that alone could make it sore or larger. If you remain concerned, see a doctor.

i have a swollen lymph node in my back of my neck of the right side. i am hoping its nothing serious. should i get it checked it out? it has been there for a while. sometimes it hurts. its very tender?

: You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

ive had a swollen lymph node on my neck for 8 months. scan showed it was too small to be concern but its still there. for 3 months now ive noticed a small node above my left collarbone.i hear collarbone nodes are worriesome? no other symptoms?

: My guess is that you are discovering your body and its lumps and bumps. I call this the medical student syndrome.  Every time you first learn about a new disease XXX you begin to worry about every pain or bump you think means OMG I have XXX.  I would go to uptodate.com and read about lymph nodes and lipomas and discuss with Dr. again.

Mass: It may not e a lymph node but could be a cyst or lipoma. If it bothers you then excisional biopsy would give you the answer. Good Luck

Need to examine: What you described suggests an inflamed lymph node. Do you have any wound or injury on the hand or arm of the same side? It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation as you may need antibiotic treatment. If you do no have access to a doctor, go the emergency room of a nearby hospital.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

Depends on location: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.
