i was given avelox 400mg to take for my infection, but i forgot to tell my dr i have psvt, and now its too late at night. can i miss tonight's pill?

Yes: But call the doctor first thing in the morning and tell them what is going on. Cannot determine whether you actually need the antibiotic and for what, but as long as your pulse is currently regular and normal you can delay taking anything and check up in AM. Good luck.

can i take 3 days of avelox 400mg once a day for 3 days for a simple bladder infection?

Yes. But,......: As long as you are not allergic to it. But you mention that you are on cipro (ciprofloxacin). Avalox belongs to the same family of antibiotics. Cannot take both together. If you have failure of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) therapy, check with your doc for advice to do culture of urine if not already done. You may need a different class of antibiotics.

i'm on avelox 400mg for infection when i cough i can feel urine leak, & my pad shows blood, not my period, also blood was in urine this am, normal?

Hematuria: No, this is not normal. Go back and see your doctor, and you may need referral to a urologist for further evaluation.  Blood in the urine can occur with certain strains of bacteria producing uti, but you do not seem to be responding to therapy and either the antibiotic is incorrect or there are other problems in progress. yesterday i started 40 mg prednisone avelox 400mg and albuterol breathing treatments.  i'm still wheezing when i push out an exhale. is this normal?

Maybe: A bacterial process can take 2-3 days to show improvement w/antibiotics. If you are still wheezing, you may need the albuterol more frequently. If you are not comfortable at rest, you may need to go to er. Otherwise, vaporizer/humidifier may help + usual cold medicines for symptom relief.

i have a burning sensation in my upper right thigh this has been going on for almost 9 months and started after i had double pneumonia and was given 400mg avelox moxi floxacin hci tablets while i was on the medication the pain in my legs got so bad i quit

Not Avelox: Medication problems do not choose just to affect one area, or one extremity.  This problem could be hip or spine (especially the 4th spinal nerve).  You should see your primary care 1st.  Rj.

how long does avelox stay your system?

Usually in 2-3 days: Avelox has a half-life of about 12 hours (taken orally, 15hrs in IV form)--this means in 12 hours, 1/2 of what you took into your body is gone. In another 12hours, 1/4 left, at 36hours, 1/8 isl left etc..So for for the typical course of about 10 days therapy, most of the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is out of your system in about 2-3 days following your last dose--very cool biochemistry. side effects of avelox?

Avelox: Some are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, loss of appetite, headache, weakness, dry mouth, sores in mouth/tongue, sweating. Serious ones are allergic reactions, shortness of breath, confusion, changes in mental status.

Avelox &urethritis: Yes it can be used and is effective in  non gonococcal/non specific urethritis.

this is the fifth day on avelox q d for sinus inf. should  i still feel  bad?

OTC Meds as well: Abx, help fight the infection, but sometimes doesn't make one feel better right away. I have my patients also use Mucinex (guaifenesin) to loosen the mucus as well as saltwater rinse. This combination works well for my sinus patients along with the antibiotic.
