As physiologic reserves in major organ systems decline and major chronic illness intervenes in later life, there is less ability of the organism to respond to insults or stresses of medication.  In addition older people tend to require more medications and this leads to a multiplicity of potential drug interactions with sometime serious consequence.

One: The diagnosis of sids is limited to the first year of life.  The "back to sleep" program has decreased the incidence of sids.  Most cases of sids occur in the first three months of life.

No one knows.: However, the risk of sids (sudden infant death syndrome) is greatest in the first 6 months of life, and is significantly increased by putting your baby to sleep on her stomach or side. Infants should always be put to sleep on their stomachs. Another factor that increases sids risk is having a smoker in the house. Factors that decrease risk include pacifier use and background noise such as a fan.

Tai Chi: Hopefully you have discussed this with your physician. Without knowing what places you at risk and if you have any physical limitations, i  can suggest tai chi. Tai chi is slow movement...And studies show repeatedly that it improves balance and decreases risk of falling. See if you can locate a tai chi teacher in your area (it is better to learn from a  teacher rather than a video).

At Risk for?: It depends on what you are at risk for.  For example if you are at risk for being obese you may need diet & exercise.

Yes: You should isolate yourself from others for at least 14 days, and if you develop symptoms, add 7 more days without any symptoms at all before going into circulation. Call your physician for added advice about testing.

Trust: The top (the one applying the bdsm) and the bottom (the one receiving the bdsm), have to have a trusting relationship.  A safe word is mandatory.  Always go slow and do not exceed limits.  Never do anything which might lead to permanent damage or scarring or risk to life.  All activities must be by mutual agreement.
