Please : Please don't let your fear of potential side effects get in the way of obtaining proper treatment for your rheumatoid arthritis.  Today, there are many very effective medications to slow or halt the progression of damage to joints from ra.  I urge you to work with a rheumatologist to find the best medications for your individual case.  It's the doctor's job to balance the risks and benefits of any medication against the risk of the disease left untreated.  Without proper treatment, RA can lead to severe disability and even shortened life expectancy.

Arthritis:  At age 20 You're young to have osteoarthritis. In this setting I would suggest you have your physician send you to a rheumatologist. A rheumatologist is a specialist in medical Musculoskeletal problems and would better help define what is going on with you.

is it normal to develop pmr  and psoriatic artritis at the same time? my pmr symptoms started 18 months ago, but i also had finger joint pain at that time.  6 months ago, finger pain got worse and nail.

Get another opinion: Anything is possible but to develop both at the same time is highly unusual. You do not describe your symptoms that lead to the diagniosis of pmr and you do not actually state you have the skin manifestations of psoriasis. Therefore, you need another rheumatologic opinion.

Arthritis: But not rheumatoid. You do have an inflamed joint, etiology or cause of which needs to be determined. Among others, gout, reactive or septic arthritis are among common causes for your symptoms.
