Rabies prevention: The Philippines is endemic for rabies, so you should be careful to follow the doctor's instructions for the anti- rabies injections. Because these are shots, drinking too much alcohol won't affect the treatment really.  Still you should give your body a break and cut back on the alcohol. If you find the biting dog, that may make your treatment alot easier.

: There are no known interactions between alcohol and the rabies shot or immunoglobulin. That said, if you are a heavy drinker who consumes alcohol daily, you may be causing liver damage. People with progressive liver damage may have more difficulty processing medications and foreign substances.
