No: Not that I am aware of.  The anterior tibialis is muscle/ tendon on top of the foot/ankle.  The plantar fascia is on the bottom of the foot.  An anterior tibialis tendon rupture is an uncommon injury.  Plantar fasciitis is very common.

Both supinate: The Tibialis Posterior is a large tendon that has extensive insertions in the plantar medial foot.  This tendon lifts the medial arch.  The Tibialis Anterior inserts of the top of the foot, decelerating the foot on heel strike and assisting in supination of the foot.  As far as I am concerned, all muscles and tendons are interconnected in function.  If one is ailing, the others have to work harder

i stretched my right foot in a downward motion and heard a small pop by my tibialis anterior tendon. i've only been having very minor pain near the area when i stretch it in the same motion.  i have no swelling near the area, should i be concerned?

Still have concerns: The concern is not being able to stench the tendon but weather you can resistance to bringing the foot up and in.  This will assess the tendon integrity.

Orthotics, brace or : Surgery.

We always start with a foot orthotic to stabilize the foot.  If that's not enough, a lower leg brace is used, and if that's not enough, surgery to re-route and tighten up the posterior tibial tendon is performed as a last resort.  It's a frustrating and disabling problem.

Pain: Pain, & swelling on the inside aspect of the ankle.  Inability to stand on only the involved foot, and stand on your toes.

Accepted Answer

Varies: Depending on how severe the disease is and if there are full, partial, or longitudinal tears with or without spring ligament damage.  Generally, it takes 3-4 weeks for tendons and ligaments to heal but the more severe a disease, the longer it takes to heal.  For severe cases, long term bracing or surgery may be required.
