Depends: For a standard cervical discectomy and  fusion for radiculopathy  it's 8-12 weeks. You could return to work more quickly depending on what you do. The hospital stay is typically overnight, though some surgeons do the procedure outpatient.  If someone is very myelopathic, then the recovery/rehab is longer. For an artificial disc the recovery time is shorter since no fusion is expected.

It depend: If you mean the procedure heart, yes.
If you mean the fusion later on will heart you, the procedure done to re if pain. When you do the fusion, that over load the above vertebra in the lcervical spine, and also the below fusion level, that will lead to arthritis which cause pain.

Spondylosis: Since she had disc surgery on her neck - she obviously has cervical spondylosis. And most likely she also has lumbar spondylosis. Spondylosis can be associated with pain. She needs to talk with her surgeon and she needs to undergo an appropriate physical therapy program. There are meds that may be useful - but again she should discuss them with her surgeon or pcp.

Neck soreness: Most anterior cervical fusions are tolerated very well.  There wil be some neck pain and stiffness.  If you have arm symptoms, those should resolve after surgery- some right away and others over time.  The stiffness and soreness improves in a few weeks.
You'll have some throat soreness and maybe a "catch" in your throat when you swallow.  Overall, it gets better quickly.  Good luck!

Celestamine: Celestamine contains Betamethasone/dexchlorpheneramine.  This is a combination of a steroid and an antihistamine. I do not know how far you are out from your procedure. Sometimes a neurosurgeon will use a steroid for inflamation associated with the surgery, but I am not aware of this medicine used much for that. If being used for another cause and your surgery is distant probably not and issue.

Yes!: The surgery is major, though generally well tolerated. The surgery is near the spinal cord and many nerves. It requires moving the esophagus, the muscular tube where food passes to your stomach. The windpipe and voice box are also moved. Any of these can be injured or work less well after surgery (temporarily or permanently). Risk depends on many factors, so talk to your surgeon.

I would consider: It major surgery. This can be quite invasive and you are dealing with surgery around some very delicate structures with an anterior approach and operating on the spine. Either would be considered major. While I am not a large proponent of spinal surgery, neurosurgeons with experience in this procedure are safe and practiced at what they do and will minimalize risk as much as possible.
