Chamomile: Some have used topical chamomile for eczema, but formal studies of this are lacking.  This is not the same as drinking the tea -- for which i&#x27;ve found no references for skin conditions.  Anise is a spice, used for flavoring and to promote digestion.  I could find nothing about drinking anise tea for skin concerns.

Avoid star anise: Avoid drinking star anise. Star anise contains anethole a phytoestrogen. This means it has estrogen like effects. It is thought to be a galactogogue (promoting breast milk production) but is unproven.

Anise: Anise has phytoestrogens as a component. Probably it would not if you occasionally drank the tea. But best check with your gynecologist.

Chamomille: I am not a pediatrician so i can't provide a global answer. However, young children  can be provided chamomille tea to help them relax for sleep. It is often given in drops. It can occassionally lead to paradoxic activation. Were there any specific herbal teas that you were interested in?
