is yogurt considered  okay food  to take with  amoxicillin?

For the most part: Yogurt or other fermented foods are okay to take during/after antibiotic treatment.  Antibiotics take care of the bad bacteria, but can also get rid of the good bacteria in our gut.  It is helpful to eat fermented, probiotic-rich foods to help replenish the lost good bacteria.  The only reasons not to eat yogurt is if you have a dairy allergy/intolerance or if it's made with a lot of added sugar.

Yeast overgrowth: Yes amoxicillen can can cause a yeat infectio. Next time try taking pro biotic with your antibiotic to reduce the chance of a yeast infection.

Antacid: Amoxicillin may not be the cause; it is well tolerated and rarely causes somach upset. Whatever the cause, try an antacid or one of the many over-the-counter acid blocking drugs. Discuss with your doctor if it doesn't help or if the problem continues after you have finished the antibiotic.

PCN with food: Antibiotics can cause nausea and/or vomitiing. You can take penicillin with food if you experience nausea.

Amox: What was he taking meds for? Usually antibiotiocs cause children some abdominal  pain but be sure he was properly diagnosed and the doc did not miss an abdominal diagnosis such as appendicitis.

Either way is OK: It won't make any difference either way. Amoxicillin is well absorbed and works equally well either with food or on an empty stomach.

Usually no problem: Amoxicillin rarely upsets the stomach, but if you think it's happening to you, take it with some food. It is equally well absorbed and equally effective taken with or without food.
