: Very similar. Lovastatin older, marketed in US since 1987.  Rosuvastatin newer, in US since 2003.  Otherwise, no real difference.  Same efficacy, same side effects. Crestor originally marketed as “super statin”, a more powerful form of Lovastatin but that is just marketing/hype.  Milligram for milligram, Crestor is more potent but dose is lower, so in the end makes no difference.

Same as most statins: Lovastatin is a member of the statin family of cholesterol lowering agents. It has potentional side effects of muscle damage and pain. If its severe it can cause rhabdomyolysis. The byproduct of muscle damage ( cpk) "cloggs" the kidneys and shuts them down . This is usually at very high doses and with other meds added . The higher the dose , pts with sick livers , and renal failure may be more susep.

Nutri Bullet?: Not sure what it is. If just multivitamin woud be beneficial. As far as Paxil (paroxetine) and Lovastatin there are no known interactions, but as always you should let your doctor(s) know about all therapeutic substances you are taking.

Lova ok with veggies: Lovastatin is one of our oldest and safest statin drugs, medications which inhibit the production of cholesterol in the liver and reduce blockage in arteries.  10 mg is a small dose.  Eating a healthy diet low in saturated fat is recommended while taking lovastatin, and including fruits and vegetables is not only OK, it is advisable.  Enjoy them!

Better absorption: Lovastatin is a relatively week and short-acting medication compared to some of the other drugs in its class.  Certain measures can improve its efficacy including taking in it the evening (so that it is working during the time that our body manufactures cholesterol) and taking it with a low fiber meal (to enhance absorption and serum levels of the drug).
