Possibly not: I couldn't find an online label to look at the ingredients, but some aloe vera gels contain alcohol which could burn your vagina.  That could be what you felt.  Lubricants like astroglide might be safer, and more pleasant to use.

: The treatment you are engaged in will neither do any good nor do any harm. Genital skin is normally of a darker color and you would be well advised to leave it alone.

Should resolve: Most likely it will resolve on its own without any treatment. Food is not going to help it. If the area looks infected or like there is a chemical burn have an Obgyn examine the area.

You can: You might want to make sure your partner isn't allergic to it first.  But also, avoid using this, if you are going to use latex condoms, as the coconut oil may compromise the integrity of coconut oil.

Vaginal lubricant: Not usually unless you are using vaginal based medications or you are having vaginal problems, such as frequent vaginitis or urinary tract infections!
