No!: Most airlines require a doctors' note to travel on their airline after 7 months of pregnancy for an emergency flight such as a bereavement(loss of loved one and funeral). The huge risk is premature labor and delivery sometimes in flight for which no airline wants to accept that responsibility for the risks to the mother and infant.

Accepted Answer

Yes: I presume you do what u describe.  I am a senior aviation medical examiner, given the responsibility by the faa of examining pilots and determining them fit to fly. They , just pass a variety of exams every 6-24 months depending on the class of the license (eg commercial pilot, every 6 months). I am not a pilot, so can't give personal experience. Would join aopa and get 1st hand info from pilots.

Military?: If you wish to be a military aircraft refueler the following applies:  "failure to pass a color vision test is not an automatic disqualification. Although there is no standard, color vision will be tested because adequate color vision is a prerequisite for entry into many military specialties."
 see  dod directive 6130.3   & dod instruction 6130.4.

i read that pilots of small aircraft use supplemental oxygen at 5000 ft. should drivers in the rockies do so too?

Not Necessary: You should not need supplimental oxygen driving in the mountains unless you have copd.

No: Research from the 60s and 70s showed that the aluminum theory of alzheimer's disease is nothing more than an urban myth it. Best wishes.

Yes: Commercial airliners are usually pressurized at about 10, 000 feet, which is high enough to reduce the oxygen tension mildly.  This can sometimes trigger palpitations in susceptible individuals.

See doctor...: Shortness of breath can be due to life-threatening conditions so it should always be evaluated by a doctor asap. You could have a blood clot in your lungs causing your symptoms. Other possible etiologies include bronchospasm from any cause, bronchitis either acute or chronic, heart disease like a heart attack or arrhythmia, etc. You need to be seen by a doctor to know for sure what the problem is.

does aircraft noise cause disease such as heart attacks, heart disease, blood pressure and raise cortisone levels? we live near an airport and the new runway will be flying over our home. considering selling our home as im worried for our health?

: Not likely.  Would worry about fuel used more. If you are downwind then prob OK. Ask local public health experts about rates of disease down under as a function of living close to an airport. You might consider moving to the healthiest eating. plan called DASH diet rather than moving.  Discuss risks and benefits of each with your local Dr.
