Consult recommended: Need a little more information here.  The flow of urine is turbulent as it comes out the urethra (end of penis) which may in itself cause bubbling but there are some other very uncommon disorders that cause gas in the urinary tract and you may need to have examination and a urinalysis done.

Colovesical fistula: Air in the urine usually indicates a connection between the colon or small intestine and the bladder . This is usually due to diverticulitis, but inflammatory bowel disease, old trauma, and, yes, cancer can be the source.  You need evaluated, so ask your doctor for help . Good luck.

Not necessarily: Air bubbles when urinating implies a connection between the bladder and the colon (colovesical fistula), often seen with diverticular disease, and with advanced colon cancer.    If there is a lot of bubbles in the bowl following urination, it may be normal, or may suggest increased amount of protein being voided.

ive been suffering from air bubbles coming out of my urethra for a while now its not out of my vagina,i feel it directly from my urethra and all my urine samples have come clean it flares up once a month then goes for a while im not sexually active?

: Some times air gets trapped and comes out during exertion and exercise and it is probably not from the urethra- but vagina. If there was something wrong in the urinary system your urine would not be normal. If it persists pl see a Urologist or Gyn. Good luck

: This is rare . It usually occurs when there is an abnormal connection between the bladder and intestines, Occasionallya rapid flow of urine can appear to seem like there is air when it hits the toilet. So pl make sure it is not that. If it persists pl see a Urologist

Infection: Most likely trichomonas vaginalis infection, you will need to get pelvic exam and treatment. On occassion, it could just be a different infection - gardenerella vaginalis- also treatable, or some women just have natural discharge - which needs no treatment- the bubbless lead me to think of trich. Also if this is the case, your partner should be treated too-and use condoms!

IV: Ask the staff to check you and the IV out. Sometimes bubbles in an IV can be a problem.

Vaginal air: Well some women do retain some air in the vagina especially after having children as the lips of the vagina may be more gaping.  Occasionally when women bare down or during sex they may make a sound that is similar to passing gas.  Sometimes during a vaginal surgery once the patient relaxes you will hear a bit of air pass out the vaginal opening.
