Stay  home: Is one. Nanny/opere/private sitter are all alternative options to daycare. Many parents have relatives that also can watch their children, ;grandparents, aunts, close friends. Some parents arrange to work different shifts so that one parent is always home with the kids. These are some options. Hopefully you will find the best one for you.

Not for many: Many people find this type of work inherently stressful. However, it might be nirvana for some.

Somewhat: At a given time one or more infants can have minimal symptoms of giardia & be in a day care center. Poor technique may lead to contamination of a variety of surfaces including a changing table & hands tainted with the microscopic cysts may bring them to the mouth where the cyst enters the body to begin the infestation.

Home: Home is where mommy is. Find out what the rules and approaches are, in terms of presence of mom. You should try to stay around your baby as much as possible at this stage. If moms are allowed, change schedules to try to be present often when baby is there.

Personal preference: There really isn't a 'right' answer to this question.  I have my personal opinion formed after almost 30 years of caring for kids.  In the first 3 years of life, I really think family care is better.  Helps baby form bonds and learn trust, decreases exposure to illness.  After age 3, I think the social needs of the child are very different and the social needs outweigh any other benefits.

Ability to do job: You will be evaluated for the physical ability to lift, carry, bend, and squat. You will also be screened to ensure that you do not have any communicable diseases or history of mental health issues that would impact your ability to safely care for children.

i have been holding in my waste since i was in day care. i wait 2 or 3 days and then i go to the bathroom. what will happen to me if i keep this on?

Constipation: It is not good to hold your stool in, over time your rectum will stretch and you may lose the ability to sense the need to go stool, which may lead to accidents.  You should try to have a soft stool every day or every other day.

ELDER DAYCARE?: There are elder day care like nursing homes where you have to stay and taken cared of by a nurse. The other one is you stay home and a nurse comes to your house weekly, reports to your md about your medical condition or a care giver comes to your house, cooks and cleans for you.

Oh yes!: Small children are walking "typhoid mary's". So if they are sick, you likely will be too and soon. However if they aren't, then you likely won't be, or if your child goes, they wont' carry germs to you on clothing or hair. If they are ill, though, all bets are off.

This too will pass: once your immune system gets boosted!  In the meantime, be vigilant about handwashing especially before eating or drinking, take a multivitamin with zinc daily, get plenty of rest and take care of yourself well when sick.
