Pain: Yes, many types of foot pain can be treated through acupuncture. Through kb2- poorly defined foot conditions can be relieved or improved upon.  If the problem is chronic, it may take repeated sessions & possibly maintenance sessions. An acupuncturist can advise if you are likely to benefit from needles. Take care.

Acupuncture point: One of the points that is commonly used is the li4 point; which is on the large intestine principal meridian.  Your acupuncturist will be familiar with the location of this point. This should not be needled in pregnant women. There are other points used that can be reviewed with your acupuncturist.

Acupuncture tingling: Sometimes the acupuncture needle irritates the nerves that are nearby.  You may find it helpful to ask them to move the needles slightly after you explain where the numbness and tingling were.

If you are very thin, this may help a lot.

Quite possibly: Neuropathy is an area where acupuncture is often effective.  Acupuncture can open obstructions to blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, nerve conduction and qi.
