What are you worried: about?  Acamprosate has very few, if any, side effects in most people.  It may have some GI effects (queasiness and diarrhea) but even that is unusual. I have treated hundreds of patients with this drug without a single patient having any serious side effects or discontinuing the medication. It should be used together with a counseling program. Talk with your doctor and/or counselor about fears.

Yes: but why? is it because a side effect of the drug, like itching? if so, better stop the Acamprosate and call/see your doctor, wish you well

A bit more to it.: Generally chemicals are helpful on chemical issues. Addiction is a complex situation with quite a lot of social and psychological issues. Integrated approaches with group and family counseling (and often WITH medications including these but also often treatment of mood disorders) work most of the time while these drugs by themselves fail most of the time.

Many types...: Bronchodilators such as albuterol (Ventolin) or levalbuterol (Xopenex) enlarge the diameter of the airways to help air flow and mucus come out of the lungs. Patients with cough-variant asthma, exercise-induced asthma, or regular asthma also use steroid inhalers (such as Flovent) to reduce swelling, mucus, and "sensitivity" in the airways. Singulair is an another medication that can be used.

Approaching: depression wi multiple modalities is best. There are many
things you can do for depression.  Don't isolate. Spend time w people. Use your support system. Get out. Don’t stagnate at home. Work to get 8 hours or &gt; of sleep per night &amp; eat healthfully. Daily aerobic physical activity is a big +.  Recommend the “Feeling Good Book" by Dr. David Burns. Don't just read it - DO IT!
