my boyfriend keeps getting multiple abscesses on back on his neck, they are very painful . what could it be?  they just keep coming, been doctors.

Recurrent infections: If your boyfriend really has been getting recurrent infections, i'd be certain to make sure he doesn't have any immunocompromise. A weakened immune system, whether it from hereditary or acquired, typically presents with recurrent infections. If he has done so yet, he should get checked for his immune system.

i've had upper and lower back pain for a week, weakness in legs, numbness in arm + abscess on back and dizzy when i sit up, should i see my gp again??

Yes: This could be from spread of the infection. It could be a reaction to the treatment you have had for the abscess. You need to discuss this with your physician.

See your doctor: My first step would be to culture the fluid from the abscess to make sure the right antibiotic is being given.  Additional steps might be taken based on those results to decrease any colonization in the nose.

See a DR: An abscess is a collection of bacteria, white blood cells sent to fight the infection and damaged tissue. The key word is infection! An untreated abscess can cause life threatening blood stream infections. Unsure if your headaches/neck pain are related, but if they are it could be that the bacteria have traveled to your brain capsule and caused a type of meningitis. See a Dr ASAP.
