Even : Even though there is a 1% chance of pregnancy after having your tubes tied, there are more likely causes depending on your age and other symptoms. Reasons for a missed period besides pregnancy are stress, poor diet, extreme exercise, weight loss, hormone imbalance such as with thyroid disorders or polycystic ovarian syndrome and even peri-menopause if you are older. You should take a pregnancy test just to be certain you are not pregnant. If you are pregnant, you do have an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy. Luckily, this can usually be determined by a series of blood tests so you should call your doctor right away if you are pregnant. If you are not pregnant and still not sure why your period has become irregular, you should give your ob/gyn doctor a call. Good luck!

No: Cramping or dysmenorrhea is more of a subset of pelvic pain or can be considered completley separate. Many women have menstrual cramps, but few have ongoing pelvic pain issues.

Depends on reasons: Missed/late period: low body wt, obesity, weight ^ or v,  ^exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, stress, illness, eating disorders, menopausal, anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, perimenopause, just starting menstruation, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems (i.e., polycystic ovary syndrome). #1 reason is pregnancy. how much should i worry about skipped periods?

Evaluation: I think it is appropriate to be evaluated, but there is usually no reason to be worried. However, sometimes the evaluation will show things such as ovarian failure which was unexpected. So 99% of the time there is a common hormonal and easily treatable reason, but the evaluation is important to make sure everything is ok.

Anemia: If your getting worn down, anemic or just frustrated, then sure, but otherwise its ok to tolerate them.

See Gyn Doc: Your condition needs a more detailed evaluation then what can be done in an ER. You don't have an ER worthy problem now, and you don't want to put off these symptoms until you have an emergency so go see a GYN doc to do a full work up, find the cause and then treat it.

Talk to your doctor: Your doctor will evaluate you and offer you options on how to normalize your periods.

i usually get about 2 periods a month, one at the beginning, one at the end that falls into the next month (never late) and im late by a month but i took 2 pregnancy tests weeks apart from each other and they both came back negative. what do i do?

: Just follow it for a bit longer. if after 2 or 3 more months, then you should see your gynecologist for an exam. At your age, variability can be quite frequent. Are you on birth control pills? Have you skipped any doses? If the answer is "no" to both, then sometimes a few months of being started on such a med can actual re-set the regularity of your cycle. But do this ONLY with your GYN's involved
