Maybe for him: Tough to say.  As long as there is viable sperm in the semen, then the consistency of it would not matter. If you are having trouble having children, then you may both need to see the fertility Dr. and part of the work up for the man would be a semen analysis.  best wishes.

Semen Analysis: First I'd suggest ask the doctor who ordered it to explain it to you. If that's not possible, if you can write out clearly what the results are (please copy carefully and do not use your own abbreviations) we might be able to help review it online.

Depends on findings: If the semen analysis reveals simply low counts, dietary supplements of zinc and other natural substrates may be useful. If the size, shape and motility are issues, the treatment may be more difficult. Often these problems can be addressed with in vitro or artificial insemination using your husband'sperm in a concentrated form.

my semen viscosity is 2 abnormal (scale of 1-4). do you know what might cause this? there were 4 days from last ejaculation. how much would this affect my fertility if everything else is normal? what could i do to lower my viscosity down to 1?

: Firstly-repeat the semen exam. One test is not always accurate. Fertility is only affected somewhat at this result- if correct

i had 5 semen test and have been told that i have 99 % of abnormal sperm, i was  told that all my sperms are missing acrosome, how can i get them back?

Cant: So basically you have 1% normal morphology with few acrosomes. That is not going to change. It means that almost for sure you will need ivf with icsi to become pregnant, and that may not be as easy as it normally is to find good sperm. I would recommend consulting with a fertility specialist and getting started since this may be a bit of an uphill battle.

Semen analysis: Your sperm volume is borderline low, sperm count is low normal, your motility is low and your morphology is normal. If you are having an infertility problem which i guess is why you had the test, you may want to repeat the test and make sure that you collect the specimen completely into a sterile container  and have it examined within an hour of collection. Abstain from intercourse for 48-72 hrs.

Don't "try": Assuming that your wife is fertile, I suggest "not trying too hard". You are young. Spending 20-30 minutes on prolged foreplay, waiting 2-3 days before intercourse and having your wife in a position with ips andlegs elevated, may be helpful. Stress will not help!

i am noticing fine black - blue fibre or thread like substance in my ejaculate for last 3 months... i am very concerned. what could they be ? no noticeable unusual symptoms of urinary/genital organs. just the black threads in semen and nothing else?

: I believe these particles in your semen are breakdown products from old blood&amp;debris in your prostate gland. This may be a benign situation but I recommend that you consult a urologist for evaluation and advice.

my semen is non- sticky & upon checking through finger dropping, it doesn't form any chain, is this abnormal?? it is usually whitish or greyish at times like a smooth jelly accompanied with transparent liquid. thanks doctor(s) for your time & inputs?

: The stickiness is from the secretions of various glands in the genital system and depends on many things specially frequency of ejaculation. Give it a little while and when you ejaculate next if it still watery gave it checked by you rMD/lab
