Sometimes diarrhea can be because the infection (food poisoning) disrupts the delicate balance of good vs. bad bacteria in the large intestine,  to help this you can take probiotics.  If it does not improve, see your doctor.

Food posoning: most food poisoning is self limited and will resolve with a short period. Clear liquids only for 24 hours should help it resolve. If persistant vomiting or diarhea go to Emergency room

If your pain is worsening, fevers seem to be getting worse, rectal bleeding occurs,or anything new develops, I would go back to the emergencyroom immediately.
