Yes, but short lived: Conception is possible, but the pregnancy might be short lived as the corpus luteum is responsible for providing the hormone progesterone to sustain the new pregnancy and there might not be enough duration to allow continued implantation. Early miscarriage is often the result.

Hard number to find: But a website called Rocky Mountain Analytical Lab had this to say:  95% of regularly cycling women not on hormones have a Pg to E2 ratio of between 23 and 57 (sampled one week prior to onset of menses). Unfortunately, because of the variability in absorption from person to person, the Pg to E2 ratio is not useful when women are on topical progesterone and/or estrogen.

Probably normal: It's normal to have some variation in luteal phase.  A short luteal phase is often defined as one less than 10 days (others say 12 days).  I think yours is normal.

Can vary some.: Normal is 14 days, but in various ovulation disorders the luteal phase may be shortened.  In advanced reproductive age, >35, the luteal phase might shorten some as well.  The most variability though is in the follicular phase with age.  Cycles closer than 27 days indicate ovarian aging.  Good luck.

hi did my s prog test today day 21 it is more than the luteal phase 88.5 what does it mean am i ovulating or why is it high.  we are trying for a baby?

Ovulation: A day 21 Progesterone test above 10 signifies that you ovulated. No other conclusions can be made. If you miss your period then check a pregnancy test. Then and only then you can determine if you are pregnant or not.

Your hormones are: in flux for some reason.  Many factors affect the normal flow of periods including age, season, weather, stress, exercise, body girth, nutrition, etc.  I would wait until the period returns and see if the next cycle brings regularity. 21-hydroxylase : 17oh-p is usually used to screen for a form of congenital adrenal hyperplasia, the 21-hydroxylase deficiency. This is not a tumor, but  it is also not related directly to pcos, and is an adrenal disorder.

It's good (normal): A progesterone level of anything over about 1.5  - means that ovulation has occurred. There really aren't "good" and "bad" progesterone levels, so you don't need to make it higher. Good wishes.

14 days: This is very consistent in a fertile woman regardless of the total length of a cycle.
