I would retake it: There may be a chance you cured it by taking it the way you did, but you are right you didn't take them the way it is prescribed. To be on the safe side, i would take it again correctly.

Accepted Answer

Of course not: There is no warranty or defense shield provided by antibiotics. If you finish treatment and get re-exposed, you can get the infection (and possibly additionals) again. Both partners need to be disease free for safe sex and using condoms for safe sex w/o risk of pregnancy.

Azithromycin: I will assume you each took one gram of azithromycin. As long as you waited for 48 hours after taking the medication you are just fine. There is a 48 rule for chlamydia following azithromycin.

: Sorry, but Cefpodoxime should not be used to treat Chlamydia infection.
Please ask you doctor change to Azithromycin or Doxycycline. 
Your partner needs to be treated as well.
Remember to practice safe sex in the future.

Probably: Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is not the drug of choice for chlamydia. However, if there is a positive test and if you have taken Cipro (ciprofloxacin) already, you may be cured.  The options would be to treat a with another antibiotic anyway or repeat a test for chlamydia.

What kind of test?: A DNA test would not be affected. If it was a culture, antibiotic treatment may produce a false negative.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

i see discharge on day 9 since 2 7 day pills for chlamydia. can i infect someone? why am i seeing discharge? is this a sign of a bigger problem?

Chlamydia: More information is needed to best answer your question. 
If still having discharge despite 2  seven day treatments for Chlamydia, certain questions come to mind.
1. Are you using the correct antibiotic to treat the chlamydia?
2. If it is the correct antibiotic, then there is a possibility of co-infection with another STD like Gonorrhea, which requires a different antibiotic.  Need to see a doctor

i was diagnosed with chlamydia & treated for it the next day , it's been over a week & im still having green/ yellowish discharge . is that normal ?

Another infection?: Chlamydia can cause colored vaginal discharge, andit could last a few days. However, a week is too long; you probably have another infection in addition to chlamydia. Were you tested for gonorrhea? Trichomonas? Check back with the doctor who diagnosed and treated your chlamydia. Good luck!

Used a condom?: If you had sex and a condom was correctly used from "start" to "finish" without tears, slipping, etc., there is little risk of transmitting Chlamydia.
