Lidocaine: Lidocaine is an anesthetic  and is  used on skin/ back for pain, in the mouth  for  sores and has a formulation for eye use  for   procedures/ abrasions. So it is not dangerous but the quantity has to be monitored.  Too much  can have cardiac effects (usual amounts are OK), In the mouth too much can  interfere with the gag reflex and lead to choking.   Do not worry  f/u/ w/ MD

Not a good idea: While Lidocaine cream might temporarily  numb his skin you will still have to scrub very hard to remove this paint. In addition to damaging his skin with all this rubbing it will start to hurt him once the cream wears off. As long as his skin is not red and irritated it would be better to gently clean the area with mild soap and let the paint come off slowly over a couple of days.

can you tell me about using ssd with lidocaine cream for tattoo healing?

Wont change healing: I perform a lot of laser tattoo removal and always recommend my patients use either cetaphil or aquaphor 3x a day until the tattoo is healed. Normally 3-7 days. There is not a lot of post laser pain so the need for topical anesthesia isn't really there. Ice packs, Motrin tylenol (acetaminophen) all are fine as long as you can take them. It is possible to overdose with the constant application of lido.
