Back pain: is a is a very common chronic condition, affecting about 10-12% percent of the adult population in the US. Nerve impingement can be caused by being sandwiched between two spinal bones, pressed by a bulging. It can cause muscle spasm and back pain and leg pain. Prevention treatment is always recommended.

Not unusual.: This is not unusual.  Due to the pressure and stretching, as well as weight gain of pregnancy many women feel that way.  Once you have the baby it will likely start to resolve(.just make sure you don't have signs of a blood clot in the legs-swelling, redness, tenderness, etc.)

Call OB: When in doubt, particularly about the nature or origin of discomfort at your stage of pregnancy, please call your Obstetrician--that's one of the reasons they're there for you.

Yes you can: Unless there is a medical reason that your  physician can tell you  with either of these they can be used as long as they don't hurt you and make you more comfortable

Braxton hicks: Most likely they are practice contractions.  I used to get them every time i stood up from a sitting position.  Baby starts to move lower and reposition for labor which puts pain on your back.  Good luck and congrats!

Depends: Always avoid anything your obstetrician warns you against. Otherwise, be a good observer. If there is a position or activity that bothers you, avoid it. Most people that stay active feel better, so within these broad guidelines, exercise!

Go to doctor: Braxton hicks contractions can occur at this stage of pregnancy, however there are other things that could be going on.  Questions to answer would be: do you still feel baby moving, has there been a loss of fluid from the vagina, any bleeding or spotting?  At this stage of pregnancy, it would be advised to at least contact your ob/gyns office for further advice and possible appointment.

Could be: Almost all OB docs, midwives, family docs doing OB have an answering service for these questions and its very important to discuss these symptoms with your OB provider tonight if at all possible.  Call the office and see if it goes to the answering service or gives instructions on how to reach your OB or the on call physician

Normal with resevati: Lower back pain at 37 weeks, gestation is quite common and is not a danger. Swollen feet are also common, but when accompanied by frequent headaches raises a suspicion for preeclampsia. If there are also visual disturbances, flashing lights, spots, then it must be ruled out. Blood pressure elevations and protein in the urine can confirm it.
