14 days of bleeding every month. now for the last 3 months bleeding every 2 weeks for 5 days when i'm suppose to be ovalating. what could be going on?

Need evaluation: You need to see a doctor for a good blood test, a pelvic exam to find out if you  go through the changes of menlopause or other organic problems such as thyroid, or even fibroids or so.

Talk to GYN!: Clearly you need to ask GYN what the plan is. Have you had an endometrial biopsy yet? Have you had your uterus examined with US for possible fibroids or adenomyosis? You need to have a workup for whatever is the cause of your bleeding, and then you can make decisions about what to do next. Best wishes.

See myomectomy MD: You need to go back to your myomectomy MD and have him/her check for additional fibroids especially ones that are under the endometrium(lining of the womb) called a sub mucous fibroid. Multiple recurrent fibroids are very common even after myomectomy.

Anovulation: It sounds as if you're having anovulatory cycles. These are cycle where the ovary fails to release an egg.  This alters hormonal levels and therefore disrupts the cycle. Discuss this with your doctor.

my husband is in his 50's, has an umbilical hernia(quite large), has put on several lbs. in the last 2- 3 months.  now bleeding from naval.  ? serious

Accepted Answer

Possibly: the weight gain may have thinned the skin and allowed it to become irritated more easily as well as put more pressure on it from the hernia. Need to see a surgeon now for evaluation and to prevent infection or involvement of the hernia itself.

had novasure stopped 3 months now bleeding again lighter for four wks, biopsies fine...can i just live with it...no ins..any other options
over weight ?

This is not uncommon: It is not uncommon to have some bleeding after an endometrial ablation.  In some cases regular periods may return after several weeks to years.  It is more common to have light bleeding.  You should discuss this with your doctor at a future visit.  It is not urgent.

2 to 3 months of: Consistent bleeding is not normal. Encourage you to be medically evaluated by your gynecologist. This should be addressed before   ttc.

Hormonal: levels, thyroid illness, sexual lubrication, vaginal spasm, positional issues, infection and certainly pregnancy testing (HCG) are necessary.

what is the best medicine for prolonged bleeding ? norethindrone isnt helping i have been taking it for 3 months the bleeding is than without the medicine but still everyday. i tried depo provera. they work for a few weeks than stop.

Ongoing menses: If you are seeing a gynecologist, it's time to check in and explain that your current regimen isn't working for you.  His/her objectives may be different (e.g. controlling blood loss and anemia).  There are other treatments, but only someone familiar with your medical history is able to recommend for you safely.  Good luck and be sure to talk to your gyn directly.

on bcp for 3 months, breakthrough bleeding occurred only in 1st month, no breakthrough bleeding since then. now spotting on 3rd month in the middle of a pill pack. need 1 more week until placebo week. did not switch. never missed. is this normal?

Spotting on BCP's ?: The most common reason for "spotting" on the current low dose oral bcp's is not taking the active pill within the hour of the previous day's active pill. The dose is so low, that even a few hours delay may cause withdrawal bleeding/spotting.  If this continues, stop the pills, wait five days and start a new pack, keeping punctual in taking the active pills.
