Not ovulating: If you've had the same result consistently over several cycles the see your gyn because you probably aren't ovulating. This is the commonest reason for infertility, and is easily resolved.

Yes and no: Yes to the first question, you can get pregnant after having your tubes tied. But no to the second, your test would still be positive if you were pregnant.

Give it time: Retest in a week if still no cycle.

False high: Unlikely, but surely your obstetrician is checking you regularly.

Yes: Yes you stop when you get a positive. The day of the positive test, and the next two days are your most fertile days. About 15-16 days after the positive test you should either have a period or be pregnant. If you're not sure if you're pregnant, say you have spotting instead of a 'normal period', see an OB doctor or your family physician for a blood pregnancy test. Best wishes.

No: Usually signs of pregnancy may not show up until after implantation which occurs about 10- 14 days after ovulation

LESS LIKELY BUT/: 4days before your periods, you are less likely to get pregnant but it is possible in rare cases.Yes if you miss your period it will show as a positive test for pregnancy.

I know you are: Anxious because it is exciting, but wait until you miss a period by at least a week then test.  If negative and still no period for a week test again.   All the best to you both.

Yes: If you have the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud in place, and you get pregnant, the pregnancy test is still reliable and not affected by the iud.
