12 weeks: It is unusual for 12 week old babies to start tree thing at this age. For feedings: just make sure the baby is getting enough formula/breast milk during the day and minimal feedings at niight.

Normal phase: Baby sleep cycles are far shorter than those of adults, and babies spend more time in rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, which is thought to be necessary for the extraordinary development happening in their brain. REM sleep is lighter than non-REM sleep, and more easily disrupted.
All this unpredictability is a necessary phase and it doesn't last long – though it may seem like an eternity!

Too young for teeth: A 12 week-old baby is too young for teething. If such a baby is fussy, drooling, not sleeping well, or has mild fever, he may have a throat infection (usually is viral but sometimes is bacterial). A doctor can evaluate and see if medication is needed. A baby at 12 weeks is still under 3 months old, so is pretty young. Parents should not hesitate to contact a doctor for minor symptoms.

Sometimes: There are formulas out there that have added rice solids to thicken the formula for kids who reflux a lot. Occasionally i will have parents use a teaspoonful of rice cereal/bottle or just add the dry formula powder to do the same. There is no benefit to expanding the additive list at that age & may be some added digestive problems if you do.

By soothing it: Most 4 week old babies have not learned the skill of putting himself to sleep yet and needs to be soothed. It might be by rocking,  swaddling, sucking, feeding, humming or singing or soft music or a sound machine. You will know what soothes your baby. Don't be surprised if it is a ride in the car at times!

what can i do to help my 12 week old baby with gas pains?

Several things: Make sure baby  is not eating too fast and burp often, every 5-10 minutes if nursing or after each ounce if bottle feeding.Be sure if bottle feeding that formula is mixed correctly. You can also try to use mylicon drops for the gas. You can prop baby up a bit while sleepinf also.  Good luck..  Is baby constipated?

Back: Studies have shown side sleeping is nearly as risky as belly sleeping, since most will not stay in that position even with weighted sand bags/swaddling.

we have a 10 week old baby who does not sleep much. she sleeps 2,5 hours in the day, consisting of three to five 30 min naps. putting her to sleep takes from 7pm to often 10pm. how do i get her to rest/sleep more? she also wakes up every 2 hours.

Sleep!: At 10 weeks old a baby can learn to sleep up to 6 hours at night. Put your baby on a routine. Every 3 hours during the day, feed your baby, whether they ask first or not. Then play for up to 45 minutes. Then put them down in their crib for nap. At 10/11pm start the last cycle with feeding, playing then sleep. If they wake up place a hand on them but don't pick them up. Let them learn to self sooth
