Persistent upper abdominal discomfort
Persistent upper abdominal discomfort is a symptom in which a person's discomfort doesn't come and go, but instead is present all the time. The discomfort can be mild or moderate, but its constant presence usually means there is an ongoing medical problem. The upper abdomen is below the ribs and above the belly button.
