Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy)
Also known as scurvy in its severe form, signs of vitamin C deficiency include dry and splitting hair, gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and bleeding gums, rough dry or scaly skin, decreased wound healing, easy bruising, nosebleeds, and decreased ability to ward off infection.
