Intersex
Intersex is when a person is born with sexual anatomy that does not fit the typical definitions of female or male. For example, a person may be born appearing to be female on the outside but having male anatomy on the inside. A person may also be born with genitals that seem to be in-between the usual male and female types, or may be born with mosaic chromosomes so that some cells are XX but some are XY.
