Ova and parasite
Ova and parasites describe a test on stool samples in the laboratory. Ova is the medical term to describe eggs seen under the microscope in patients with certain types of diarrhea. Parasite is a medical term to describe infectious agents that resemble worms that may cause diarrhea.
